“My name is John Mitchell, and I am a Stretch and Flexibility Coach, Myofascial Practitioner, and Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant. I have been licensed and certified in the health and wellness professions for almost 25 years. I regularly engage in over 100 hours of wellness, stretching, and physical therapy seminars annually to stay updated and enhance my expertise. I am also an Aftercare and Preventative Care Practitioner, dedicated to supporting clients in their post-recoveryjourney and helping them maintain health and prevent future issues. My approach is shaped by various techniques, including stretching sciences, the Feldenkrais Method, John Barnes Myofascial Release, yoga, tai chi, and traditional and extreme sport training systems.
Athletic stretching focuses on enhancing flexibility, mobility, and performance for active individuals and athletes. It helps reduce the risk of injuries, improve recovery time, and increase overall physical capability, enabling clients to perform at their best during sports and workouts.
Tai Chi combines gentle, flowing movements with focused breathing and meditation to improve balance, coordination, and overall well-being. This low-impact practice promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and enhances energy flow, making it ideal for individuals of all fitness levels.
PNF is a highly effective stretching technique that combines muscle contractions with targeted stretching to improve flexibility and strength. It is ideal for enhancing range of motion, boosting athletic performance, and rehabilitating injuries.
Myofascial stretching targets the fascia, the connective tissue surrounding muscles, to release tension and improve range of motion. This technique alleviates chronic pain, corrects postural imbalances, and restores natural movement by addressing deep-seated tightness in the body..
Breath work utilizes controlled breathing techniques to enhance physical and mental well-being. By improving oxygen flow, calming the nervous system, and reducing stress, breath work helps clients achieve greater focus, relaxation, and emotional balance.
Minimal-contact sessions are designed for individuals who prefer not to have hands-on treatments or physical contact. The services described above can be delivered both in person and via telehealth, ensuring accessibility and convenience. In-person sessions may incorporate therapeutic modalities if necessary to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment while maintaining a minimal-contact approach.
Yoga integrates stretching, strength, and mindfulness through structured poses and breathing techniques. It improves flexibility, balance, and mental clarity while fostering a sense of inner peace and relaxation, benefiting both the body and mind.
Nerve gliding involves gentle, controlled movements designed to mobilize and relieve tension along the nerve pathways. This technique helps reduce nerve pain, improve flexibility, and enhance the overall functionality of the nervous system.
We offer a variety of classic holistic modalities to support overall wellness and healing. Additionally, we are actively exploring and studying new-era modalities that are being developed, tested, and gaining prominence within the wellness industry. These modalities aim to align with the latest advancements and trends to provide our clients with the best possible care. Read More

Street clothes and work uniforms are perfectly fine for your first visit and all future sessions. However, for maximum comfort and mobility, we recommend wearing flexible clothing such as athletic wear, yoga pants, sweatpants, or shorts. Avoid restrictive clothing like jeans or skirts. Most sessions are done barefoot or in grip socks, but stretch-friendly footwear is also an option.
To maximize the effectiveness of various stretches, please refrain from using lotions or oils within 4 hours before your treatment session. The presence of lotions or oils could potentially decrease the effectiveness of stretches. Feel free to apply lotion after the conclusion of our session. Emphasizing this point ensures that your experience is optimized and the benefits of the stretches are fully realized.
Medical Services: These include formal physical therapy evaluations, rehabilitation, and treatments prescribed by a doctor.
Non-Medical Physical Recovery: This includes wellness-based stretch therapy, mobility work, and recovery techniques that enhance performance, reduce stiffness, and prevent injury. These services do not require a prescription and are ideal for general mobility improvement, stress relief, and performance enhancement.
A wellness session allows us to assess your body's movement patterns without the constraints of a medical diagnosis. It provides a proactive approach to improving mobility, flexibility, and function. If a more clinical approach is needed, we can then determine if a full Physical Therapy Evaluation is the right next step for you.
If you have an existing medical condition or pain that limits your movement, we recommend starting with a wellness visit to assess your needs. If we determine that a clinical approach is necessary, we may refer you to a licensed medical professional for a Physical Therapy Evaluation.
Our wellness services are private-pay only and are not covered by insurance. However, some clients may be able to use their HSA/FSA accounts for services. We encourage you to check with your provider.
This depends on your goals! Some clients visit weekly for ongoing maintenance, while others come biweekly or monthly for tune-ups. We'll discuss the best plan for you during your first session.
Many clients experience improved flexibility, reduced stiffness, and increased range of motion after
just one session. With regular visits, benefits can include better posture, enhanced athletic
performance, stress relief, and reduced discomfort from everyday activities.
Your first visit is designed to help us understand your mobility needs, goals, and overall wellness. We will assess your flexibility, movement patterns, and any areas of discomfort. This session will also introduce you to our hands-on stretch therapy and other modalities to determine the best approach for you. Expect to leave feeling better and more informed about your body's movement potential!
Yes! We believe in practicing what we preach. Our team, including the CEO, regularly receives stretch therapy, mobility work, and other wellness treatments to stay at their best. We value the same care that we provide to our clients.
We do not cancel appointments-we only reschedule. Due to our pre-paid booking policy, your session is secured in advance, and we are happy to accommodate a new time if needed. Please provide at least 24 hours' notice for rescheduling so we can adjust accordingly.

In accordance with guidelines from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), physical therapy services must be deemed medically necessary to qualify for coverage. Medical necessity is determined by a licensed physical therapist based on a comprehensive evaluation, aiming to improve, maintain, or slow the decline of a patient’s functional status. The CMS emphasizes that therapy services should be provided by qualified clinicians and must require the skills and knowledge of these professionals. Documentation must clearly support the medical necessity of the services provided, demonstrating that they are appropriate for the patient’s condition and require the expertise of a qualified clinician.
they are appropriate for the patient’s condition and require the expertise of a qualified clinician.
According to the APTA, medical necessity for physical therapy is defined as the requirement for services that are essential to diagnose, manage, or treat an illness, injury, or medical condition. These services must align with accepted standards of medical practice and be specific to the patient’s condition, focusing on restoring function, reducing pain, and improving mobility. Documentation must demonstrate that the care provided is reasonable, necessary, and requires the specialized skills of a licensed physical therapist. Medical necessity ensures that physical therapy interventions address a medical issue and contribute meaningfully to the patient’s recovery or functional improvement.
By adhering to these standards, physical therapy plays a vital role in patient care, ensuring that treatment is provided only when it is clinically justified and beneficial for the individual’s health and functional capabilities.
Non-medical physical recovery issues refer to conditions or challenges that do not require a medical diagnosis or intervention but significantly impact an individual’s ability to feel and function optimally. These issues include generalized stiffness, muscle tension, minor discomfort, limited flexibility, or decreased mobility due to lifestyle factors such as prolonged sitting, stress, or lack of regular movement. Wellness care and stretch therapy are holistic approaches that address these concerns, focusing on prevention, post-recovery care, relaxation, and enhancing overall physical performance. By improving flexibility, reducing tension, and promoting better movement patterns, these services provide a pathway to maintain and optimize physical well-being.
Once a patient has been discharged from a physician’s supervision in combination with being discharged from a physical therapy episode and/or chiropractic care, the condition is now considered a lifestyle issue or a wellness issue. This transition highlights the importance of ongoing self-care and proactive wellness strategies to sustain and further enhance physical health and quality of life.
